The sound of running water is completely normal
‘The sound of running water is completely normal’ comprises floor and wall based objects that will be changing throughout the exhibition; large segments of scented soap mixed with charcoal, pink sand, a written response to the scent of the soap and a synthetic fabric pocket that holds a photograph will change every 4 days. Materials are brought together at different stages in a process of change: potential, ongoing and completed. Each work is a recording device that documents an action: indenting, cutting away and holding together.
The series of photographs have kindly been provided by the Ashmolean Museum University of Oxford.
